Purpose
This program aims at the student’s expertise of mission or ministry. It prepares students the practical tools and skills to improve ministry and missions applying the course to acquire theological knowledge to his(her) ministry and missions. It is the program for mission centered research. It is also to delete the chasm between Idealism of theoretical theology and pro-experientialism in mission field.
Feature
The dissertation in this program will provide knowledge, perspective, and skill which can be applied in mission and ministry fields. Also, this program would be concerned about applying existing theological knowledge to actual mission fields. This program emphasizes the methodology of mission. So, students are instructed practical methodologies for their future missions and concrete skills based on their precedent theological knowledge and experiences. This program would maximize the potentiality of missionaries and presents adequate developments of mission tactics admitting different missions by different talents from God
Administration Requirement
This is the program for applicants who both completing of M. Div. program and its equivalent; and at least 3 years of missionary or ministry experience.
Program Design
The goal of this program is the students’ formation of missiological perspectives; and let students have missiological understanding about Word, World, and Church with core concept of mission. New formation of understanding of the Word from mission perspective and substantial ways to understand the World enable church to act properly for the contemporary society and to do misssiological tasks. Emphasis would be put on theologizing in mission, so it is proper in mission or ministry field. Research and strategy should be based on Bible and they should be reasonable and trustworthy. With these perspectives, it includes self-monitoring of one’s spiritual experiences, the understanding process of self-distinctive potential, the verification of one’s proposal in mission fields, the Biblical and theological answer of the one’s proposal, and the process of concrete tactical building of the answer.
